Why direct Sales

I told you I would tell you a bit about me in this blog. I am a 46 year old engaged (just) mom. I raised my three daughters basically alone. I had been married 12 years when thier Dad left me. I was also a consultant for a basket company. I did quite well the four years I was involved.
After I settled into my new life of single mom,  fixed income, and working as a telemarketer. (Get your college degree.........LOL). I had lost the desire to sell, did not have the money to finance  my business.
You see, I put it to the side for over six months. I needed new books, new samples, the ball I had started rolling four years before stopped rolling. I did not have the energy to restart it. And so I did not.
Eight years later, I live in a nice home with my financee, my three girls and Simply You's amazing start up oppurtunity. I missed the Vendor shows, I missed the meetings, and mostly the home shows. I love meeting and getting to know new people. I love to offer them products I adore. And so I decided it was time to come back to all that.
I'm still here for my girls, I can drive them to friends, practice, and say hello when they come in, most of the time. I do my business while they live thier lives, I enjoy them and Gary (financee) while they live thier lives. It's great place to be.

Today I got up early and completed my data base. I will send the invites to my Open House next Monday.
I was sure to include Date, time, and request a RSVP. I also jotted a personal note to people I don't see often or just really want there.
I hope to have a show before the Open House, from the promoting, internet marketing, and Vendor show............

Tonight we have a home phone conference call. I find that although it makes getting kids to practice a bit hard its a worth with thing to do. I get ideas, I get motivated.
Nina Necklace, on of my favorite pendants. Look it up on my sitehttp://simplyjenns.mysimplyyou.com/

Back to my routine

Today I was right on schedule. I got up early and went to my church. Came home in time for my 9-11 business hours. I feel since I am in the early stages of my business I need to work each day. I got my Flyers printed, my catalogs stamped, and sent out a few post cards announcing my new venture.
I booked my first Vendor show and hope to meet some new contacts on July 15. My first "live" appearance. I am taking things a bit slower then most, but this is because I am living in new area, I haven't worked in sales in 5 years, and I want to feel very sure, I know my inventory, my product, my hostess program, and my advisor plan.
This is my company, my business and I want to represent what I have to offer in a strong and positve light. No jitters...............or just a few.
I am so excited to do my first show. That will be in two weeks. A launch party at my house. However, since I now feel confident in my knowledge and comfortable with my product, if a show does come up. I AM READY.

this is the Blake Necklace.
Very classy , but also has the bling.
It  normally costs $55 dollars.
I will tell you ways to get it for much less or even free tomorrow.

Enjoy Sunday night

Rings

When building a new business and sustaining an existing one, office hours are so important. I myself just dropped the ball on that one. The kids got out of school for the summer, Gary needed to go visit his Dad, and we had workers at the house. It made it near impossible to maintian my 9am-11am office hours. It didn't have to be that way. The kids need respect that working from home IS work, I could have adjusted my hours to help Gary. I didn't and now I am behind on a few things. I bielieve each task must be done or you will loose focus, customers, shows, potential downline.

What do I do during my office  hours. Since I am building my business I do a lot of promoting. I make flyers, stamp catalogs, I book Vendor shows, call leads, cold call.  I also work of my business page both from Simply you and facebook. I want to keep up to date on this blog, continue building my FRANK list, and build my data base. These things can be very time consuming.

I keep in mind that each step, no matter how small, if done consistently will ultimately build a strong foundation for my Simply You business. Back to office hours for me.
